GoPro to OBS

Send a GoPro live feed into OBS using Meshcast as the relay.

Overview

Use GoPro's RTMP output to publish to Meshcast, then bring the stream into OBS as a Browser Source or Media Source.

Requirements

• Registered (free) Meshcast account (RTMP ingest + playback links).
• GoPro with Custom RTMP support.
• OBS Studio (v28+ recommended).

Step-by-step

1. Create a stream key Open the Meshcast Studio and copy the RTMP server + publish key.
2. Configure the GoPro Set a Custom RTMP destination with the server URL and stream key from Meshcast.
3. Start the GoPro stream The stream should appear as live in the Meshcast Studio within seconds.
4. Add the stream to OBS Use the Meshcast Embed link (Browser Source) or HLS link (Media Source) from the Studio watch links.

Notes

For the lowest latency in OBS, prefer the Embed link (Browser Source). HLS is more compatible but adds more delay.
